SAM7Flash ist ein kleiner USB-Bootloader, der direkt in der End-Applikation integriert wird.

1 Übersicht

SAM7Flash ist ein Bootloader der in die End-Applikation, auf SAM7-Microcontroller, integriert werden kann. Die Vorteil SAM7Flash, statt SAM-BA (Atmel's eingebauter Bootloader), zu verwenden sind folgende:

• Bootloader kann fast überall und nicht nur beim Startup gestartet werden
• Keine zeitaufwendige Boot Recovery Prozedur mehr notwendig
• Alles ist Open Source, auch das PC Flash Tool
• Verfügbar für Windows und Linux
• Basiert auf LibUSB

Weiterhin kann der Bootloader als C++ Framework mit USB-Support, für neue Applikationen, verwendet werden

However, I can't figure out how to flash the arm without overwriting the bootloader, thus i'm left with the same situation as the original bootlaoder. Could you maybe provide a little more information on what the bootloader does exactly, and do i need to add a linker script to my projects to aboid overwriting the bootloader? Quote 1   0

Yes, the bootloader is overwritten when you flash the microcontroller. The sense behind SAM7Flash is, that it provides you a C++ framework for your application in which the bootloader is included. So, you can uses the bootloader and extend it with the application you want to develop. When you flash your application, the bootloader is automatically included again.
